Five Steps to Breaking Your Coffee Addiction

  1. Gradually decrease your caffeine intake, tapering off a little more each day
  2. Substitute lower caffeine drinks such as green tea for black tea or brewed coffee
  3. Substitute caffeine-free colas for regular colas
  4. Switch to decaffeinated tea or coffee
  5. Recognize that you will have withdrawal symptoms and deal with them accordingly
