This is just a sample of the opportunities available through a private sponsorship program. During "off season" or other "down" times, it is feasible to Lease out the facility to numerous organizations in order to generate funds. Some of the events may have a direct impact upon services provided by the Recreation Dept. however, even events which not not impact the Recreation Dept. per se, may generate enough revenue to make previously unfeasible projects a reality. Nationwide events may be scheduled in the facility thereby benefitting the community at large. In the event of financial shortcomings, it is suggested 10% of all additional revenue be put into a savings fund to provide for future expenditures or the loss of a major sponsor. In this manner, the vitality of the recreation programs can contiue to benefit the clients, the community and the sponsors.
